The ENL group is the repository of significant land resources which are mainly under agricultural use. In 2007, the group resolved to undertake property development on strategically located sites with a view to increase the financial yield of its land asset. ENL Property was created to lead this initiative in an environmentally and economically sustainable way.
Ever since, we have delivered a significant portfolio of integrated residential and commercial properties. We have in the process built a dynamic team of young professionals who work alongside leading planners, architects, engineers, builders and landscapers to create landmark developments.
We are creating Bagatelle, a new town ideally situated between the capital city of Port Louis and the Ebene Cybercity. We are actively reshaping Moka into a place of choice to live, work and play. We are also the proud developers of the Villas Valriche and La Balise Marina, IRS estates. Our products are marketed and sold - both on the local and international markets - by the Mauritius Sotheby's International Realty team of real-estate specialists.
In addition to enhancing the island’s landscapes, developments bearing the ENL Property signature are drivers of positive change in the neighbourhoods that host them. We allocate dedicated resources to ensure that local communities benefit through job creation as well as citizen empowerment and poverty alleviation initiatives.
We are fast becoming a strong and sustainable revenue centre for the ENL group through the generation of significant long term rental income. We uphold our founding principle which is to keep ownership of our commercial and office properties, managing them to international standards.
ENL Property’s rapid growth is largely due to its privileged access to strategically situated land owned by its parent company, ENL Land. In addition to optimising the financial yields of selected portions of strategically situated land, we also provide the latter with land mapping and surveying expertise. We have created and now manage the ENL land information system which is an all-important instrument for planning land use within the group.
As we continue to grow in size, expertise and experience, we turn to the regional market where a fast growing middle class presents promising potential for future growth.
Since January 2014, ENL property acquired a 54% stake in Cogir. The latter is a building and civil engineering contractor with an impressive track record, earned over nearly three decades. Its portfolio of realisations so far includes well-known hotels on the island, shopping malls, office buildings and schools. Cogir is registered on the government’s A-List of service providers and thus qualifies to bid for major public infrastructure works. However, it prefers to master its growth by focusing on medium sized projects while it further strengthens its structures and its capacity to deliver on its promises.
Espral's land mapping and surveying experts have created and now manage the ENL land information system, which is an all-important instrument for planning land use within the group. Over the years, the company has also imposed itself as the marketing and sales arm of ENL Property. In 2015, Espral joined the Sotheby’s International Realty© network as master franchisee for the territory of Mauritius.
Ascencia Ltd is a property fund created by the Rogers group to invest in and to develop commercial, industrial and office properties. It is one of the largest property companies on the island and is listed on the Stock Exchange of Mauritius. Its portfolio of assets includes two regional shopping malls in Phoenix and Riche Terre which are currently undergoing major upgrades. ENL Property recently transferred its ownership of Bagatelle Mall of Mauritius, Kendra Commercial Centre and Les Allées d’Helvétia Commercial Centre to Ascencia, following which it became a 32% shareholder of the company.
