SB Cattle is a joint venture between ENL Agri Limited and BonHaven Beef Cattle of South Africa. The company, incorporated in January 2010, is managed by ENL Agri whereas expertise and technical advice is obtained from Bonhaven.

Before the creation of SB cattle, ENL Agri had a herd of about 200 cattle of local breed on pastures at Savannah. New breeds, namely Hereford and Braford bulls and heifers, have now been introduced together with an artificial insemination programme.

The company's objective is now 4 fold and spread over time:

• An efficient herd management in pastures.
• A professional approach to feedlot fattening.
• The putting in place of a modern abattoir with the help of relevant authorities.
• The setting up of a deboning plant to add value to fresh meat to sell to hotels, restaurants and supermarkets.
