Established in 1976, Plastinax manufactures plastic injected sunglasses and reading glasses for export markets, mainly to the USA and Europe. The company has a successful history of supplying superior quality eyewear products to major players in the industry.

Plastinax works in close partnership with its customers to develop their collections, by offering design services, visualisation through hand-made prototyping, fine-tuning through 3D drawings and computer generated physical prototypes, before supervising the manufacturing of the moulds for mass production.

Plastinax has representatives based in the USA and Europe that are responsible for developing its markets and offering proximity assistance and services.

In 2010, Plastinax Austral launched its own brand for the local market, Helios Polarized. Helios Polarized sunglasses are made of a revolutionary plastic polymer, which contains over 53% of vegetable extracts, lessening the dependence on petroleum-based materials. A percentage of recycled material is also used, so as to minimize the environmental impact, whilst making no compromise on the quality, comfort and durability of our sunglasses.
