Job Brief
The Business Development Manager is responsible for execution and oversight of all business development initiatives for Workshop17.
General scope of work:
Oversight and Execution
- Coordinate all business development initiatives
- Create and update quarterly business development and sales plans for each location within the region.
- Assist with the vetting and analysis of new location opportunities.
Client Relationship Management
- Maintain good relationships with members in all locations.
- Support and work with Location Managers to optimise client experience, ensure retention and referrals.
- Support location managers in bringing new members into the Workshop17 community and check in with members after they joined.
- Manage relationships with brokers and other relevant third parties (landlords) and manage contractual agreements with brokers.
- Closely liaise with Marketing to communicate value creation to the community.
Systems and process improvement
- Ownership and ongoing optimisation and alignment of the CRM platform, data and processes.
- Support the optimisation and consistent implementation of our processes and systems>
- Identify, test and roll out value added services for members that lead to customer satisfaction and retention (member benefits, campaigns and content).
Development of internal capacity to improve loyalty and experience
- Ensure that location teams are empowered with skills and have tools to deliver hospitality services and build a strong community.
- Drive and ensure implementation of our processes and systems in the location.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in management or any relevant field.
- At least 3-5 years Sales Management experience in the hospitality industry
- A self-starter who is able to comfortably operate with freedom whilst aligning and collaborating with key Workshop17 stakeholders.
- Strategic thinker that is able to identify Business Development opportunities (and risks) across the platform.
- Be commercially astute in the engagements with prospective organisations and members.
- Business savvy with a good understanding of finance and pricing principles
- People-centric and passionate about fostering sustainable and impactful networks.
