Junior Community Coordinator

At Workshop17

Workshop 17 Mauritius (The Precinct at Grand Bay) is hiring a Junior Community Coordinator who will be responsible to offer up the ultimate coworking experience to all Workshop17 members and guests and will have to keep the system updated with leads, sales and all the needs.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

Hosting Requirements

  • Act as a brand ambassador, promoting W17’s values and mission within the W17 community.
  • Ensure all interactions reflect the brand’s voice and tone.
  • Build & maintain strong relationships with members
  • Be the face of Workshop17, The Precinct, and sit mainly at the reception or main ground floor co-working space
  • Occasionally assist the team by attending community events after business hours or during weekend

 

Interaction & Engagement with Members, Members' Benefits & Rewards

  • Actively engage with community members by responding to comments, questions, and feedback.
  • Initiate and participate in discussions to foster a sense of community & allowing cross collaboration
  • Gather feedback from the community to identify their needs and preferences through regular check-ins & feedback forms
  • Support the LM in securing member benefits by contracting external providers in collaboration with W17
  • Manage, update and maintain the W17 members' benefits platform to reflect accurate up to date information
  • Recognize and reward active and valuable community members through constant awareness and new important update

 

Admin Tasks

  • Conduct daily morning checks to ensure all community areas are ready and presentable for members and report issues to LM
  • Conduct onboarding sessions of new members, prepare name tags & welcome packs and ensure all necessary materials are included.
  • Assist members and the team with booking meeting rooms and ensuring availability and convenience.
  • Financial Administration - raise deposit invoices, membership invoices, follow up payments, assist in deposit refunds as per request of LM
  • Manage petty cash - liaise with accounts department for monthly replenishment, keep monthly record of expenditures & get final approval by LM
  • Responsible for stationery & marketing materials inventory and assist the team to keep onsite inventory list up to date

 

Qualifications, Skills and Experiences:
  • Minimum HSC level.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Fluent in English and French both verbal and written. 
  • 1 - 2 Years experience in co-working or shared office sector, hospitality and/or customer-facing operations. 
  • Tech savvy, systems driven and experience using G-Suite. 
  • An upbeat, energetic, positive, mature and professional attitude.
  • Proactive, passionate, and reliable problem-solver who thrives on providing exceptional customer experiences. 
  • Ability to handle multiple requests, work effectively in a fast-paced environment, and be responsive to member requests/service issues. 
  • Ability to engage and adapt well to team/group settings. 
  • Ability to clearly communicate with a diverse range of stakeholders within and outside the organization. 
  • Attention to detail, organized and thorough with a desire for continuous improvement.
