Outline of job role and purpose
The Information Security Officer (ISO) provides an advisory services role in Information Security and acts as the focal point for security compliance related activities and responsibilities.

The ISO serves as a resource regarding matters of information security and reports the status of ongoing information security activities to management and the Board.
Cybersecurity Strategy

  • Support in the execution of different projects as defined in Cybersecurity strategy
  • Develop, implement, monitor and enhance an IT Security Framework including but not limited to IT Security policies and procedures to support the implementation and monitoring of adherence to the framework across the Group
  • Responsible for ensuring that the disaster recovery and emergency operating procedures are in place and tested on a regular basis
  • Ensure effective staff training programs are in place to increase security awareness across ENL Group
  • Ensure alignment of cybersecurity strategy with Data Protection roadmap of ENL Group

Reporting and Compliance

  • Ensure appropriate security risks controls are identified, assessed and accurately reported to protect information assets
  • Ensure Group entities comply with internal policies, procedures, guidelines and standards
  • Conduct annual compliance reviews on Group entities against IT security policies and procedures and produce security reports
  • Deploy appropriate administrative, physical and technical safeguards to protect ENL’s information assets from internal and external threats 
  • Design and enhance board reporting mechanisms with regards to cybersecurity
  • Manage day to day security of information systems and supporting infrastructure
  • Evaluate security technologies and counter-measures against threats to information or privacy
  • Engage with potential suppliers and advise on best fit cybersecurity tools and software for ENL Group
  • Degree holder in the field of computer science and/or information security
  • At least 5 years in a similar capacity
  • The ability to organise, prioritise, meet deadlines and maintain a high degree of accuracy
  • Have certification such as CISA, CISSP, CEH or other security certification at a similar level
  • Technical knowledge of mainstream operating systems, wide range of security technologies, network security appliances, identity and access management systems, anti-malware solutions, automated policy compliance tools and desktop security tools amongst others
  • Be approachable with strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
  • Any equivalent combination of education and experience
