Outline of job role and purpose
The Parts Advisor is responsible for assisting all mechanics and customers in purchasing needed parts and supplies. He/ She will also perform research on auto parts to discern which parts are compatible with which vehicles.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
→ Handle all incoming calls with the appropriate set phone greeting.
→ Prepare parts quotation by utilizing several parts catalogs to find details, price & availability of parts and make place order accordingly.
→ Process quotations and assist service advisors with estimates for unavailable parts and ordering non-available parts as needed.
→ Provide Technicians with necessary parts within specific time frame and send parts pre-picking list
→ Calculate pricing/ estimations for parts.
→ Control stock and order replacement in due time.
→ Follow up on special parts of grounded vehicles and notify technicians when received.
→ Review orders for reserved parts on a weekly basis.
→ Perform return of unused parts to the warehouse.
→ Liaise with the Procurement to look up for parts locally.
→ Liaise with the Procurement for ETA and notify service advisors accordingly.
→ Study knowledge of all parts products and services.
→ IT Skills
→ Strong communication skills
→ Ability to work under pressure
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
→ Minimum HSC
→ 2-3 years of relevant work experience
→ Knowledge of heavy machinery industry and parts
→ Clean certificate of character
→ Valid driving license
