A shared commitment to well-being and safety

At ENL and Rogers, the well-being of our people lies at the heart of our vision to build workplaces where everyone can thrive safely. Over the past year, our subsidiaries have actively embraced a broad spectrum of Health & Safety initiatives and demonstrate a shared commitment to creating sound, supportive, and empowering work environments.

In today’s fast-paced world, it’s easy to get overwhelmed by work and personal responsibilities, often at the expense of our health. Recognising this, both Groups placed a strong emphasis on health screenings and mental wellbeing, encouraging employees to take proactive steps toward better overall health and a more balanced life. Each and every subsidiary rolled out numerous initiatives—too many to list in full! For Health & Safety Day held on 28th of April, we wanted to showcase a glimpse of the actions that were put in place.

Companies such as Grewals, and Nabridas organised general health check-ups to promote early detection and overall wellness, while Ecoasis organised an eye screening session. Screenings for breast and prostate cancer were also made readily available across various entities. Plastinax and Axess as well as the Management Services stood out for offering regular medical care through in-house doctors and ongoing health monitoring, reinforcing the importance of sustained preventive care in the workplace. Decathlon promoted community spirit and social responsibility by organising blood donation drives, adding a meaningful layer to employee engagement and well-being.

Mental health also took the centre stage this year with a series of initiatives aimed at reducing stress and promoting emotional balance. At Rogers Aviation for instance, employees participated in laughter therapy and holistic healing workshops, while Rogers Hospitality rolled out mental health programs and an ergonomics awareness campaign.
Rogers Capital addressed stress management and work-life balance through expert-led talks by psychologists and wellness trainers. Meanwhile, ENL Property hosted insightful webinars on managing anxiety and building emotional intelligence. Teams at ENL and Rogers Management Services were also given access to psychological support through dedicated counselling services.

Of course, the workplace isn’t the only environment where risks exist. Some of our colleagues also received valuable insights on how to stay safe beyond the office… At home, on the road, and in their daily lives. Road safety awareness campaigns by Rennel and other subsidiaries featured expert-led sessions and live demonstrations to equip employees with critical safety knowledge. Additionally, Rogers Aviation offered self-defence training to empower employees with practical, real-world skills beyond the workplace.

Beyond physical and mental health, several subsidiaries embraced a more holistic view of employee wellness. Rogers Hospitality pioneered a monthly massage program, offering relaxing head and shoulder massages on-site, while Rogers Capital introduced spa therapies and Ayurveda-inspired health talks to support overall balance and vitality. ENL Agri on its side also encourage long-term lifestyle changes through nutrition counselling and healthy cooking workshops.

How about the future? Technology hasn’t taken centre stage yet, but it’s on the radar. Rogers Hospitality started exploring how AI could support predictive maintenance and safety reporting. The teams of Rogers Aviation on their side are exploring the use of sensors and simulation-based training. Implementation of AI and technological powered safety and health initiatives are still in their early days, but the curiosity and the drive is there.

These are just a few examples of the initiatives implemented across the companies in support of health and safety. Point is that both ENL and Rogers Groups are committed to building workplaces where wellbeing comes first and environments where every team member feels supported and empowered to thrive knowing how to privilege their safety as well as mental and physical wellbeing.
