ENL Foundation created Bazart Kreasion to train unemployed women living in the Moka region for financial autonomy. We converted an old sugar estate house into a workshop where they learned to upcycle used paper and other types of craftsmanship. We also helped them find a market for their products and generate revenue.     

Nourezo is a digital market place created by ENL during the COVID-19 pandemic to provide independent tradesmen and micro-entrepreneurs with a means to be visible to customers and to quickly recover from the impact of the pandemic. The initiative was funded out of a solidarity fund to which ENL employees contributed voluntarily. 

The NGO community does a fantastic job working for a more inclusive society, and often with very little means. By creating the WeVolunteer program sought to encourage ENL employees to give back to society, and give the NGO community access to professional skills which would otherwise be out of their reach. 

We created the Aprann program to help individuals who are uneducated, untrained or who wish to take up a new job, to find employment. The program was initially funded by HSBC Mauritius and benefitted more than 300 individuals aged between 16 and 55 years.

We implemented our Leave No One Behind program over three years during which we helped some 385 families build capacity and start a small business. In addition to training, coaching and guidance, we provided them with seed capital to get started. The initiative was supported by the European Union.
