As an Estimator/Technician, your duties may include the following:

• Preparing quotations.
  • Reading plans and drawings
  • Selecting door and window systems
  • Preliminary wind load resistance verification
  • Pricing through company software
  • Pricing through materials take off sheets.
• Answering and responding to tenders.
  • Reading plans and drawings
  • Reading and analysing bill of quantities and project specifications
  • Selecting door and window systems
  • Preliminary wind load resistance verification
  • Pricing through company software
  • Pricing through materials take off sheets.
• Labour and Transport estimation for quotations.
• Quotation requests to suppliers.
• Prepare pricing of SI/Variations and extra works.
• Preparing and submitting production file with quantities and cutting list
• Submitting project budget to accounts department for confirmed contracts
• Collection of data for cost control.
• Follow- up of orders.
• Any other duties that may be assigned in relation to quantity surveying aspect of works.

PROFILE:

• Diploma/degree holder in related field (preferably with good numeric skills) or any equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 3 – 5 years of experience in a similar field.
• Good customer service skills.
• Good time management and scheduling skills.
• Would be preferable to have a knowledge of CAD system.
• Familiarity with software such as Microsoft Office Word, excel and Quotation Systems.
