Launched in 2023 by ENL Foundation with the support of Oficea, an ENL subsidiary, Aprann 2.0 is an employability booster programme for unskilled and untrained individuals from vulnerable communities. A major milestone in this journey was celebrated on Friday, 27 June 2025, when over 70 beneficiaries of the programme’s second batch received their certificates during a ceremony held at The Pod, Vivéa Business Park.
The recent certificate ceremony marked the successful completion of a months-long journey that included over 40 capacity-building sessions, technical and vocational training, and internship and job opportunities. From this cohort, 41 individuals have already secured employment, and 35 are now fully prepared to begin or continue their entrepreneurial journey.
Among the beneficiaries who completed the programme is Kenny Pierre, who proudly shares her experience:
“I joined the Aprann 2.0 programme with the dream of starting my own business and opening my shop. Over time, the programme helped me regain my confidence and stay focused on my goal. Today, I am taking administrative courses and working part-time at Rogers Capital. I am proud of how far I have come. It has been a long journey that required perseverance, and I am grateful to the ENL Foundation and Oficea teams for their support.”
Aprann 2.0 offers a holistic approach that enables both personal and professional growth. The programme is structured into three phases that guide participants towards autonomy and employment:
• Capacity Building Programme: Participants attend coaching sessions to better understand themselves, identify their strengths, and build self-confidence. This helps them define a clear path forward.
• Skills Development & Vocational Training or Entrepreneurship: Based on their goals, participants either follow vocational training in a chosen field or receive support to start their own business, with guidance from institutions and mentors.
• Placement & On-the-Job Training: Participants gain real-world experience through internships and receive mentorship in the workplace.
The Aprann 2.0 programme is not only opening doors to economic opportunities but is also building stronger communities and empowering individuals to break cycles of vulnerability. As ENL Foundation continues to support this initiative, with enrolment for the last batch starting soon, Aprann 2.0 remains a driving force for inclusive and sustainable development.
