Job Objective
The Assistant Accountant is responsible to support the finance department in end of month closure and monthly reporting by completing routine accounting related tasks and controls.
Responsibilities and duties:
- To process entries, posting of recurring journals and updating of end of month schedule
- To process provision, reversal of provision held to PDI/Accessories/Subcontracting and updating of end of month schedule
- To process incentives’ invoices from car suppliers’ and updating end of month schedule
- To assist in monthly reporting such as margin analysis for NV and APO, investigate discrepancies in margin with BU Managers/AVN
- To follow-up with Insurance agent/Co. relating to Marine Cargo/ Motor Vehicle & TP/ Health/ General
- To ensure timely processing of suppliers invoices are accounted correctly
- To ensure invoices are raised according to currencies correctly, and on a timely manner upon request from other departments
- To ensure accurate processing of credit notes in a timely manner
- To perform suppliers’ reconciliation and bank reconciliation on a monthly basis, and to investigate and report discrepancies on a timely manner
- To assist in providing information to renew yearly trade license/FSC license
- To draft letters to send to external stakeholders
- To entertain requests of auditors/banks/suppliers/management

Qualifications
- Degree holder in Finance and Accounting filed/ACCA Level II
