STOCK CONTROLLER (AXESS LTD)

The main objective of the Stock Controller is to provide assurance to management regarding the soundness of the Inventory Management Control process in place and that adequate control exists to protect the company’s asset that ensure existence, accuracy, and completeness of the financial stock records of Axess Ltd (Stock Integrity).

Duties & responsibilities

  • Prepare stock take plan for Financial Year (including stock of cars, parts, tyres and tools)
  • Organize and coordinate stock take according to stock take process and logistics in place (both perpetual and full count)
  • Ensure that all stock items in all locations are counted at least once a year.
  • Supervise proper execution of tasks assigned to stock take team during stock take exercise.
  • Ensure proper running of the Inventory Management System (device, network, etc.)
  • Perform any specific Inventory audit requested by Management.
  • Recording of adjustments on ERP system if any, prior to resumption of operation. (ascertain proper explanation is obtained for all variances)
  • Process daily adjustment request within the time frame.
  • Report any material discrepancies to senior Management.
  • Report writing on finding (Brief and de-brief of stock take).
  • Update stock integrity report and display on board.
  • Conduct analysis on stock adjustment trends.
  • Provide management with root cause of stock variances and propose remedial actions to be taken.
  • Provide management with a monthly analysis on stock take adjustment value.
  • Examine records, reports, documentation, and operating practices in place to ensure adherence to procedures.
  • Develop and recommend / implement improvements to inventory control procedures.
  • Assist and document scrapping exercise within the guidelines.
  • Perform surprise check and obtain explanations for discrepancies.
  • Assist receipt / deliveries of stock items.
  • Maintain proper archive of documents.
  • Assist auditors with documents they may require.

Experience & Qualifications

  • At least Higher School Certificate
  • A minimum of 2years experience as a stock controller in the automobile industry
  • In depth knowledge of inventory management principles and best practices
  • Proficient computer skills including Word & Excel
