ENL AGRI Limited is looking for an experienced and committed Operations Officer to joins its team in the animal production department.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Provide operational assistance to animal production team.
- Keep records of farming operations, monitor feed consumption and weight management skills.
- Regular farm monitoring and control.
- Assign farm workers to tasks, such as feeding and treating animals, cleaning and maintenance of equipment and farmhouses
- Plan and prepare work schedules.
- Ensuring compliance with regulations, audits and standards.
- Keeping an up-to-date knowledge of pests and diseases and an understanding of how they spread and how to treat them
- Monitoring animal health and welfare, including liaising with vets
- Follow up on monthly sanitary protocols and vaccination program
- Observe and enforce all Sanitary measures in reliance to the protection of the livestock and the farm.
- Manages ad-hoc investigations and projects as well as provide recommendations.
- Make sure that all workers and Job Contractors abide to the company’s rules, regulations and safety and health procedures.
- Assist in annual budget planning for farm section.
- Regular meeting and discuss problem and planning program with Production Manager.
Duties, Skills & Experience:
- Recognized bachelor’s degree in agriculture/Farming or any comparable recognized professional qualification.
- Previous experience in a similar position will constitute an advantage.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office tools.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including fluency in English and French
- Technical skills, critical thinking, problem solving skills and people’s management skills
- Dynamic, focused and reliable person with the ability to work under pressure.
- Holder of a valid driving license.
- Any equivalent combination of education and experience.
Salary: Negotiable upon qualification & experience.
