Community and Events Coordinator | Workshop 17 Mauritius

W17 Mauritius is hiring a Community and Events Coordinator who will be at the heart of the team's business operations and point of contact for the members.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the main point of contact for event clients from walk-ins to successful event completion. 
  • Providing Reception/ Host duties when needed; which include telephone answering services and attending to walk-in clients and guests.
  • Excellent customer service and relations
  • Provide administrative assistance to the community and events teams.
  • Assist the Location Manager with the administration function and community walk-throughs.
  • Assist in ensuring that new leads are captured and escalated on CRM timeously.
  • Conduct regular stock checks to ensure the location is fully stocked with necessary items.
  • Maintain high standards of meeting rooms and venues set up, before, during and post the event, adopting a philosophy of continuous improvement.
  • Proactively supporting the community and events team to plan and manage five-star services and events.
  • Familiar with Workshop17 procedures and protocols, to ensure flawless events and member gatherings.
  • Managing event contracts, quotes, invoices, payments, PO for suppliers and debtors for event clients.
  • Maintain clear and open communication channels with team members and managers
Qualifications, Skills and Experiences:
  • Diploma or Degree in Business Administration, Tourism and Hospitality Management, Events management or any related field.
  • 1 year experience within the coworking/hospitality/customer service/event industry.
  • Ability to handle multiple requests, work effectively in a fast-paced environment, and be responsive to member requests/service issues
  • An upbeat, energetic, positive, mature and professional attitude
  • The ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to work well under pressure and with a diverse range of personalities
  • Excellent communication skills in French and English both written and spoken
  • Ability to navigate various online systems
  • Possess a valid driving license.
