KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Requirements:
- Determine operational feasibility by performing analysis, problem definition, requirements, solution development, and proposed solutions
- Put in place the Standard Operation Procedures
- Document and provide solutions by developing documentation, flowcharts, layouts, diagrams, charts, code comments and clear code
Software Development:
- Develop software solutions by studying information needs
- Study systems flow
- Investigate problem areas
- Follow the software development lifecycle
- Perform software Testing using defined methodologies
- Produce written deliverables
Systems Support:
- Provide offsite support and technical advice as and when required
- Respond to internal and external customer support calls in a timely manner
- Troubleshoot and resolve software/application related problems and provide support as requested
- Participate in determining the cause of job and system failure, and takes corrective actions
- Prepare reports on systems issues
- Ensure clear communication with Customer/suppliers to resolve issues
- Provide assistance & information to staff, customers and other users
Training/Communication:
- Keep up to date job knowledge and innovation in the field by studying state-of-the-art development tools
- Stay up to date with professional certifications, including but not limited to relevant Microsoft certifications
- Participate in learning & development opportunities
- Invest time in reading professional publications
- Maintain personal networks
- Participate in professional organisations
- Maintain open communication between staff, customers and other users to encourage questions and problem solving
- Perform coaching of other members of the team as and when required or as directed by the Business Unit Manager and/or the Management
Others
- Adapt to changes in technology
- Keep records of all documents for easy retrieval.
- Due to the cyclical nature of your position, you may be required to work varying schedule to meet the business needs.
- In view of the nature of your job, you will also be required to strictly abide to our confidentiality terms and data protection terms

- Ability to work as part of a diverse team with colleagues from different viewpoints and cultures.
- Perform other tasks at the level of the role as directed by your manager in pursuit of the achievement of business goals
QUALIFICATIONS
- At least a bachelor’s degree in information & technology, Computer Science or related field
- Vendor certified IT Professional
KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS
- Knowledge of utilisation and purpose of management information systems; principles and operation of standard software applications, hardware, and related peripheral equipment
- Knowledge of software best practices, Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
- Ability to organise, schedule, and coordinate a variety of activities and projects; learn new software packages
- Strong problem solving skills
- Attention to details
EXPERIENCE
- At least 2 years of proven work experience in a similar role
- Any equivalent combination of education and experience
